Mangosteen hulls or thick peels
Group of antioxidant chemicals called xanthones found
Peel is not naturally water soluble
Mangosteen has been used by some countries for decades and science has yet to unveil its secrets. Of particular interest to researchers are a group of antioxidant chemicals called xanthones found within the mangosteen hulls or thick peels. This Mangosteen is manufactured from the the fruits peel/hulls since this is where xanthones are found in concentrated amounts versus the fruit. If we were to use the fruit, or other fruits, then the peels xanthone content would be diluted. The peel is the covering of the mangosteen fruit that keeps the moisture inside and the fruit from dehydrating. Since the peel is not naturally water soluble, why try to put it in a liquid? In comparison to some liquid products, which are mostly water, they are made from the whole fruit with less amounts of the peel. These capsules contain mangosteen peel/hull powder without any fillers, colors, flavors, or preservatives added.
